Here on your first day of life

As grandparents we will always love you

May our love and wisdom always walk by your side

We could have held you forever

In what would feel like a short moment in time

Where fate gave us a glimpse of the future

Shinning through those beautiful blue-grey eyes

We could have held you forever

Where our worlds changed in the blink of an eye

Feeling blessed to have finally met you

And sing to you, your lullaby
